The new version of Antibiogo with EUCAST 2026 (v2.5) is now available!

By facilitating the interpretation of antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) results and integrating the latest international recommendations, Antibiogo continues its mission: making microbiology expertise more accessible where it is needed most.

Version 2.5 of Antibiogo now includes the EUCAST 2026 recommendations, along with a range of improvements designed to make the application even more intuitive, reliable and efficient for everyday use. This update reflects our commitment to providing users with a tool that remains aligned with the latest scientific recommendations while continuously evolving based on feedback and experience from the field.

Here's what's new in Antibiogo v2.5:

‍Updated clinical guideline 

• The EUCAST 2026 knowledge base is now integrated into Antibiogo, ensuring antibiotic interpretations follow the latest recommendations.
  As part of this update, when EUCAST recommends confirmation of a disk diffusion result by MIC testing, the SIR category will now display "MIC" (MIC request) rather than a disk diffusion interpretation, ensuring consistent reporting in line with the latest guidelines. 

‍Onboarding & Settings 

Several improvements have also been made to the initial setup process to simplify first-time use of the application and provide greater transparency for users: 

• During onboarding, Antibiogo now checks whether your device is compatible and notifies you if it is not.
• You can now select your country during onboarding.
• If your internet connection is temporarily unavailable during onboarding, Antibiogo will automatically retry once the connection is restored.
• You can now change your data collection consent at any time from More → Settings.
• We've updated the data collection consent information to explain what usage metrics are collected and how they are used. 

‍Enhanced user experience

• Updated screens, visual elements, warnings, and in-app messages to improve the overall user experience.

‍Improved stability 

• We've resolved multiple bugs to improve the stability and reliability of Antibiogo. 

With version v2.5, Antibiogo continues to evolve, providing laboratories with an application that is even more reliable, intuitive, and aligned with the latest international recommendations. Each new release is driven by both scientific advances and user feedback, ensuring that the application continues to meet the evolving needs encountered in the field.
